Where to Look When Words For Courageous Living

Getting a new job

Philippians 4:13,19

"I can do everything through Him who gives me strength."

"And my God will meet all your needs according to His glorious riches in Christ Jesus."

Hebrews 13:6

"So we can feel sure and say, I will not be afraid because the Lord is my helper."

Remember we do thank God for the opportunity of a new job and with that God says (as recorded in Deut. 8:17) "You may say to yourself, my power and the strength of my hands have produced the wealth for me. But remember it is He who gave you the ability to produce wealth..."

If your particular slant is wanting to change jobs then commit that to the Lord and seek His direction. His direction is there. In fact, the sad thing is that He desires to give guidance more than we in receiving. Seek His face. Spent TIME with Him. He is good at directing you through (1) His Word; (2) His providential circumstances and (3) His people. Above all, remember the words above from Hebrews. 13:6

And my God will meet all your needs according to His glorious riches in Christ Jesus."

If your particular slant is getting pumped up for the first day or so, remember that for all who will be worksing with you, they, too, had a first day on the job. Yes, there is fear, frustration and anxiety. All these "forces" must be religuished to the Lord.

This may not change the atmosphere on the outside, but definitely there can be a peace (and that's where it is at!) on the inside.
