Very Personal Words Experienced by One Sheep Through a Year.

He Is the Fulness of God

May 29

GOD'S WORD: 1 John 3:16 "By this we come to know (progressively to recognize, to perceive, to understand) the [essential] love: that He laid down His [own] life for us; and we ought to lay [our] lives down for [those who are our] brothers [in Him]."

SHEEP: It is only the faith of Christ Himself living in us that enables us to accept this command. Christ Himself will work it out in us but it will require a daily unbroken abiding in Him.

Only the Lord knows precisely what all of us need to draw close to Him each day. He prepares each day for us as He sees what we need.

From us it will require an acceptance of each day with thanksgiving, knowing that He is working all things for good. As He works in us we will be able to say – He laid down His life for me – I can do no less for others.

GOD'S WORD: Colossians 2:6-7, 8-12 "As you have therefore received Christ, [even] Jesus the Lord, [so] walk (regulate your lives and conduct yourselves) in union with and conformity to Him. Have the roots [of your being] firmly and deeply planted [in Him, fixed and founded in Him], being continually built up in Him, becoming increasingly more confirmed and established in the faith, just as you were taught, and abounding and overflowing in it with thanksgiving."

"See to it that no one carries you off as spoil or makes you yourselves captive by hi so-called philosophy and intellectualism and vain deceit (idle fancies and plain nonsense),following human tradition (men's ideas of the material rather than the spiritual world), just crude notions following the rudimentary and elemental teachings of the universe and disregarding [the teachings of] Christ (the Messiah). For in Him the whole fullness of Deity (the Godhead) continues to dwell in bodily form [giving complete expression of the divine nature].And you [are in Him, made full and having come to fullness of life [in Christ you too are filled with the Godhead—Father, Son and Holy Spirit—and reach full spiritual stature].

And He is the Head of all rule and authority [of every angelic principality and power].In Him also you were circumcised with a circumcision not made with hands, but in a [spiritual] circumcision [performed by] Christ by stripping off the body of the flesh (the whole corrupt, carnal nature with its passions and lusts). [Thus [you were circumcised when] you were buried with Him in [your] baptism, in which you were also raised with Him [[to a new life] through [your] faith in the working of God [as displayed] when He raised Him up from the dead."
