The story is told of a minister and his party. They were traveling to an African mission. The
stream that had to be crossed had become swollen. There were no boats, and no apparent way to cross
over. The party camped and prayed. Haste in getting back to the mission was important. While they were
praying a tall tree which had probably battled with the river for a century began to totter. Soon, on its own
it started to fall and it fell across the stream. The immediate comment was that the Royal Engineers of Heaven
had laid a pontoon bridge for God's servants. The beautiful thing is, my friend,
that right now you may be facing a "swollen river" in your life. The situation is so wide and deep that it can
only be crossed by God's intervention. Well, I believe that is possible. You see, God loves you and
He wants the best for you. He wants you to "cross over" "Ask and it shall be given you; seek and you shall
find; knock and it shall be opened unto you. For every one that asks receives." (Matt. 7:7,8) That is the Word of
God. Stand on it, my friend.
Let's pray
Lord, you know the difficulty that is facing this special one. You know, also, how to assist in the difficulty.
May this one trust you through the days ahead as they wait for "their tree to fall." In Jesus' name.
Amen
