I have in my hand, here, a can of water sealant. What one does is to paint this liquid on concrete or bricks or wood. It will protect the substance pointed. Now, here is a small flat stick, paddle like and you will note that on it has been sketched a man. See the figure?
I an going to take this stick with the man on it and place it in this jar of water. Watch what happens to the man drawn on the wood. What is happening? Well, the whole body is being faded away. The water is affecting the felt pen that was used to draw the man.
Now, watch this. I have another stick or paddle, just like the first. In fact, on it is drawn a man with the same felt pen see, same color and everything. With this clear plastic tape it is surgical tape, which I got from the hospital. I am going to wrap the wooden stick real tight. I am covering the stick.
As I place it in the water what happens? Nothing. Why isn't the man drawn on the stick being faded away like the first one? Covered? Right you are. He can not be affected by the water because he is covered, protected.
You know boys and girls that is what the Bible says in Ephesians 1:13 "You were included in Christ when you heard the Word of Truth, the gospel of your salvation in Him when you believed you were marked with a seal, a promise of the Holy Spirit." Another translation says, "You are sealed by the Holy Spirit.
So you see how important it is to accept Jesus as your savior. The first man had no protection around him he faded. The other was sealed.
He went right through the water And that is what the Bible says, "When you pass through the waters, they will not affect you, or they will not overflow you."
